金州勇士在NBA西區決賽淘汰奧克拉荷馬雷霆後，奪冠衛冕之路只剩下總冠軍舞台上的克里夫蘭騎士，不過最近勇士卻身陷流言紛擾，雷霆前鋒杜蘭特（Kevin Durant）是今年夏天自由球員市場最大咖，杜蘭特可能去勇士，勇士也希望爭取他，令許多勇士球員感到困擾。

杜蘭特打小前鋒，勇士的先發小前鋒巴恩斯（Harrison Barnes）合約也將在今夏到期，巴恩斯曾拒絕勇士開出的四年6400萬美元續約，他希望得到一分更接近頂薪合約。外傳勇士高層為了得到杜蘭特，可能不惜打散勇士奪冠陣容，全力搶標杜蘭特。

一旦勇士今夏爭取杜蘭特，巴恩斯能否被留下，或者需要被留下就有很大問題。巴恩斯倒是看得很淡，他希望可以留在勇士打球，但前提是，「沒有其他人選擇加盟勇士」。

巴恩斯表示，「我喜歡勇士，想要在這裡打球，但這不是我能控制的，你得考慮其他因素。」巴恩斯今夏是一名受限自由球員，因此勇士並不急於為他開出合約報價，勇士如果真的想要留下巴恩斯，只要跟進其他球隊報價就能成功留下巴恩斯。

勇士中鋒伯加特（Andrew Bogut）了解自由球員市場一切都是生意，也都不是誰可以控制的，如果勇士跟雷霆達成先簽後換的交易得到杜蘭特，那麼勇士許多球員的合約和位置，都會被影響到。

伯加特說，「我們一起打出兩個很棒的賽季，但NBA自由球員市場就是生意，你不可能阻止他，大家都會關心，我們不可能不受影響，一支球團總管和老闆想要做點什麼，他們就會去做。」

勇士前鋒格林（Draymond Green）大喇喇的性格展現在他的談話和處世態度，格林說，「那都不是我們能控制的，我們要做的就是努力打球，為比賽付出最大心力。」
